Behind the Scenes
The idea for The Lost Azuralite first came to me when I was 16, back in high school. It was a completely different concept then, but as I grew older and expanded my world-building, both the story and I evolved. My reading journey, influenced by Stephen Donaldson, George R. R. Martin, Pratchett, Rowling, and Tolkien, shaped Kivastora’s themes and magic. Video games and Dungeons & Dragons played a huge role, too. When I became a father, I felt inspired to create stories for my children, and that's when The Lost Azuralite was born.
